Our Programs

Our programs cover multiple areas of community needs. Some of our programs include: Head Start, Early Head Start, Raleigh County Emergency Housing Center (Pine Haven), Transportation, and Housing. Head Start

Quality pre-kindergarten experiences have proven to reduce the the rate of children being held back a grade, and increase their chances of graduating high school. RCCAA Head Start’s school readiness program provides comprehensive learning for Raleigh County WV children up to 5 years old; years critical to cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Early Head Start

Serves children between ages 6 months old - 3 yrs old. Six months prior to their third birthday we begin the transition process into the Head Start Program.

Pine Haven Emergency Housing Center

Homelessness is a major hardship affecting over half a million Americans each day. Rural communities such as Raleigh County WV are not exempt from the unexpected crises and financial hardship that can leave entire families wondering where they’ll find a bed for the night. Our goals at Raleigh County Community Action Association include the elimination of homelessness, both
chronic and short term.

Transportation

The Raleigh County Community Action Association (RCCAA) provides public transportation services in Raleigh and Fayette County through a contractual arrangement with the New River Transit Authority (NRTA).

Housing

RCCAA Housing Programs are aimed at eliminating homelessness through rental assistance, re-housing assistance, housing search and placement, and case management. Our goal is to improve WV communities by helping people help themselves.
